Career FirefighterCareer Firefighters in Gloucester City are hired through the New Jersey Department of Personnel. Applications can be obtained at Fire Headquarters, the Municipal Building, Public Library and through the DOP web site. Applications are only available when the City requests a hiring list. Candidates must pass the testing process according to DOP rules and regulations, be a City resident, be certified as an EMT and must have a current driver’s license.
