Administration

The administration facilitates the Fire Department through planning, organizing, reviewing and maintaining efficient and cost-effective services. We also ensure that all elements of the City are prepared to deal with unusual occurrences and disasters.

Operations

The Operations Division is comprised of four platoons who work an alternating schedule of 24-hour shifts. Each platoon is supervised by a Battalion Chief who is responsible for the daily activities of all members assigned to that Battalion.

Emergency Medical

When faced with a life-threatening situation, people want medical help as soon as possible. In Gloucester City help arrives quickly from either an ambulance or a first responder fire apparatus. 

Fire Prevention

The Gloucester City Fire Prevention Bureau is responsible for protecting lives and property through identifying fire and life safety hazards, enforcing the code and educating the public.
